Challenge

Previously Camfil was relying solely on Excel spreadsheets to update and store their product information. This made collaboration across the company very difficult and also created a lot of extra work for employees to enter information in multiple places. It was also a challenge for staff to find which data was the most up to date which also made it difficult for manufacturers’ representatives to respond to customers’ requests.

 

Solution

Now with inRiver, all the company’s product information is available in one integrated system, so employees no longer have the hassle of using what they referred to as a ‘complete content spaghetti nightmare.’ The continuous emailing and updating spreadsheets is now a thing of the past, due to the company having their entire inventory of product information in one place.

 

Result

inRiver allows the organization to publish catalogs in half the time over their old manual methods. Plus, inRiver has helped Camfil completely automate their product information flow by cleaning up and streamline the product data approval within the company’s database. The company integrated inRiver’s PIM system with Adobe InDesign to enable them to approve product data for eighteen different catalogs from a single place.
