Wehkamp has started the implementation of inRiver PIM (Product Information Management) for a faster time-to-market and higher quality of product information.
With approximately 180.000 products, thousands of suppliers and a lot of sales and marketing channels, Wehkamp wanted a structured and consistent approach to managing the product content and related media files like images, videos, manuals and other digital assets.
Wanting to achieve efficient management of the growing product assortment and to support the new online platform, Wehkamp looked for a modern and flexible PIM that could manage the large amount of products and handle the product variety from a single source. The solution also had to easily integrate into Wehkamp’s existing IT-landscape. But most importantly, Wehkamp wanted to make it very easy for the marketing and sales departments to create compelling product stories for a great customer experience.
Placing inRiver PIM as the central product information repository between the operational ERPs and the customer touch points, Wehkamp will now organize all product information, media and digital assets from a single source in inRiver PIM.
