NetOnNet, the third largest Swedish consumer electronics retailer, has selected inRiver PIM (Product Information Management) for efficiently managing the company’s extensive and quickly changing product range. Selling well-known brands and own branded products directly off the warehouse shelf both in Warehouse Shops and online, NetOnNet aims to provide the best possible product information for the widest possible product range on the Swedish market.
Keeping competitive prices in a fast-paced sector that sees frequent changes to the product range, NetOnNet wanted to gain better control of the products and optimize the product information management process – from product inception to publishing it to the web shop. Having noted a number of challenges in the existing process, the company saw the solution in speeding up the publishing process by collecting all product information and all product images in one single source in inRiver PIM.
“We were spending too much time looking for information about our products in various systems and sources. Realizing that we needed a more efficient process for handling all the information, and a single source for all product-related information and digital assets, we looked for a solution. After some research, we concluded that inRiver PIM was the best fit for us, solving our challenges in a structured and flexible way. We are expecting to achieve a smoother and more efficient flow in our work, and getting our products published faster to our web shop”, said Jonas Järrenfors, Marketing Director, NetOnNet.
“We are thrilled to be able to solve the challenges NetOnNet had with their product information process, and are looking forward to supporting the company in achieving a smooth PIM process. Enhancing a successful concept with an excellent and well-organized product information process is a winning combination that brings efficiency to the company and helps its customers make well-informed purchase decisions that boosts customer satisfaction” said Andreas Erikson, National Sales Director, inRiver.
NetOnNet was founded in 1999 with the idea of selling consumer electronics online at a lower price than in regular stores. In 2001 NetOnNet opened the first Warehouse Shop, selling products directly off the warehouse shelf at the same low prices as online. NetOnNet has since become a major force in the Swedish consumer electronic retailing market, being third largest retailer in its sector. To see more on NetOnNet and its products, go to www.netonnet.se
