Malmö, Sweden – February 6, 2018 – inRiver, the leading provider of SaaS-based product information management solutions, announced the Company’s continued 70% year-over-year growth in cloud software revenues. This expansion results from the launch of inRiver Product Marketing Cloud (iPMC), the only multi-tenant cloud-based product information management solution available on the market today. Hundreds of customers across Europe, North America, and Asia use inRiver’s SaaS platform to drive stronger sales by delivering better product information and improving their customers’ buying experience.
Supporting the company’s growth is an expansion of the both the EMEA and US sales and support teams in Malmö, Amsterdam, and Chicago.
With this track record, inRiver joins the ever-expanding portfolio of Swedish software powerhouses, including Qlik, Skype, and Klarna—all drivers of global software technology categories.
Product Information Management (PIM) is a requirement for enterprise and mid-market retailers, manufacturers, and distributors that sell product and services through online and offline channels. Demand for inRiver’s iPMC solution has exploded as e-commerce takes hold in nearly every industry. With customers becoming increasingly demanding and savvy, revenue depends on delivering a consistent and rich omnichannel commerce experience. inRiver now supports online and offline commerce for hundreds of customer-obsessed brands, such as Ethan Allen, Fujifilm, ITW, and MillerCoors.
To maintain this strong trajectory, inRiver recently added global operating and marketing executive, Thor Johnson, to its management team as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors. A veteran of the US startup community and SaaS industry forerunner and marketing expert, Johnson led Bedrock Data, a venture-backed, data integration SaaS manufacturer. He marketed Intralinks (NYSE: IL) to IT and financial professionals as CMO. Previously, Johnson pioneered modern B2B marketing and demand generation at Eloqua Corporation, now part of Oracle.
“With inRiver’s explosive international growth, we see great value in adding global cloud technology and marketing talent to the team in Sweden,” commented Jim MacIntyre, Chairman of inRiver’s Board of Directors.
“inRiver is defining the optimal approach for digital marketers to display their products and interact with their online audiences,” stated Thor Johnson, inRiver’s CEO. “Buyers—both consumer and industrial—all now want to search for, select, and purchase online. Manufacturers, distributors, and retailers need increasingly compelling ways to appeal to those buyers if they want to remain relevant and stay competitive in their markets.”
